1970's home - creating a Texas Hill Country style outdoor living area, complete with the Austin Chop Stone, Cedar beams and mantle, and the requisite HDTV.
Dallas Renovation Group Hi kcrute27. I wish that I could tell you exactly, as someone else had asked several weeks ago. Unfortunately, our clients purchased this furniture several years ago and could only remember the retailer's name in Dallas. Here is the link I provided to them, which shows several items that look close. I hope this help. http://www.chairking.com/outdoor-patio-furniture/resin-wicker-furniture. Good luck. --DRG
Dallas Renovation Group Dear lgrube52, My apologies but I could not find a record of this color. Since this is just rough sawn cedar, I would imagine this is just a clear coat, which typically darkens the finish. This was a small project completed over 3 years ago, so I apologize for the lack of information. --DRG
Dallas Renovation Group rbcola, The stone is referred to as Austin Chalk (Chop), http://www.whiz-q.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=choppedstone, and is a limestone based product that we use a lot in Texas. It comes in a variety of cut and natural shapes. The mortar in this case is just white-sanded mortar, so as to blend with the stone. Here is another picture with similar results (inside). Good luck. -DRG
Dallas Renovation Group This mantle, in rough Cedar, is a solid 14" x 14" beam, which was modified on the ends by my Trim Carpenter. I can't say that I have seen one offered "for sale" like this, but any carpenter worth his or her salt should be able to purchase the ceder and cut/sand the ends for a similar effect. Call or email if you have other questions. --Ralph
Dallas Renovation Group This is a solid cedar beam. It has both steel rods drilled and inserted in the back to hold it in place, as well as metal straps (3 on top, 3 on bottom) behind the stone, to secure to the framed wood frame.
LOVE shape or something like it. Pretty shape like would see in a house. Like color. Don't want black but not to light either, not sure if it's cedar or stained cedar but the ones I saw that said cedar were to light.
