OBERHAUSER INTERIORS John, the shower floor is flush with the bathroom floor, but starts at the glass panel to slope 1/4" per foot towards the back wall. That's where you see a linear drain. To accomplish this detail the sub-floor had to be lowered by several inches in order to install a standard shower pan (waterproofing). I hope this explains it...
OBERHAUSER INTERIORS I'm glad you like the layout, mapoulin. This tub was installed very close to the wall, because it is such a tight space. Looking at the floor plan it only sits 1.5" off the wall. But because the window behind the tub starts at 18" off the floor there is a bigger space between window and edge of tub, probably around 4".
OBERHAUSER INTERIORS The slate cladding was installed without grout. But make sure you have proper waterproofing if you install it in a shower like here.
Janice Peters, Distinctive Decor I am designing a very similar bathroom and very concerned with overspray. Does your client have much water coming out past the glass? I would be very appreciative to know. Thank you. I love the choices you made here.
Artistic Glass Innovations Love the look great job. I'm a architectural glass artisan myself, if I could make a suggestion to avoid seeing the clamp on the wall set the glass into a channel within the wall and then use the marble to cover for a perfect seam. And always specify ultra clear silicone, has a glass like appearance.
like the lines and repeating bowl of the sink, tub and toilet. I like the layout of the shower but don't like the tile (color or pattern) and don't like the vanity - too rustic.
