Mantra Ikea kitchens are usually more durable than their furniture line. Ikea has done a great job in offering various styles and customization features in an affordable price. In my experience I know lot of Kitchen owners who have an ikea kitchen and are happy. The question you may want to address is - do you want a kitchen that lasts you for ten-fifteen years or five -ten years. If you want a stylish kitchen in a budget and are not that concern about having it last for fifteen years- ikea is a very good option:)

nikgag I would also love to know the color of the back splash. We have Vogalt blue granite and travertine flooring. I am thinking of changing the color of the cabinets to a white with a glaze but not sure of a back splah yet. Thanks

delaneyk Thanks! Yes, I meant the sink side. So that is the entire length of the sink side, end to end? It looks longer! Our kitchen is almost the same measurement. Shows you how much a great layout can do!

pelparm Hello - what are the dimensions of the breakfast area and bench seat? This is a great kitchen. We are thinking of using Ikea cabinets and this is what I think in my head can be accomplished with great design and nice finishes - thanks for sharing!
