I don't think it's designed for speakers but I'm sure they will be able to answer that question for you.
Bose makes surround-sound speakers that are tiny and easy to hide but with BIG theater sound.

Here's a home entertainment center that was originally shown in North Carolina but sold to a client in California. Note the combination of traditional mill work with Zoom-Room, a state-of-the-art, high tech Murphy bed.
