Cynthia Taylor-Luce Will your cathedral ceiling allow a horizontal rod to be installed across the wall at the height of your arched window? If so, then you're fortunate. You can install draw drapes (operated with a pulley system) if you purchase a heavy duty rod system. If the rod system is too lightweight then it will break down very quickly. Just be sure to use lightweight fabric, and if you can get away without lining them, even better.

Do you need them for privacy and lightcontrol or just privacy? Would a lightweight linen be private enough? It would pleat beautifully and be fairly easy to draw across the space. You could do something with two colours sewn in horizontal stripes as the pictures show. What a beautiful look that would be!

The last picture I attached shows a slightly shaped window in the middle (not as curved as yours) and the way it's been treated with wall to wall draw drapes, as I suggested.

B Fein Interior Design Thanks for your question. In the window arch, the Hunter Douglas silhouettes are stationary. They may make a top down mechanism (would also need to be motorized) that would allow these to move. Hope that helps! : )
