You mention that the brazilian cherry floor is dark stained. May I ask what color you used to stain the floor? I just bought a house that has brazilian cherry throughout the main entry dining room and living room, and upstairs hallway. The house is nine years old so they have already darkened as much as they can. I plan on refinishing them and there are areas that were bleached from the sun near french doors..I would like to give a somewhat medium tone stain on top of them before having the finish put on to blend some of the disparity amount boards..Mine look somewhat like piano keys..I don't want them to be stained too much that they become black either when they mature..Thank you »
foreverhouse My floors are getting their last finish on Friday..I will ask the floor people what colors they used..They tried four different times to get the color I wanted...I'll also post a picture so you can see the color..after they're done and I can get in and walk on it..Are your floors Brazilian Cherry? I ask this because different woods take stains differently..I have an oak staircase that is connected to my Brazilian Cherry and we worked hard to find the color that matched..They look very nice together now but they have two different stains even though the color looks the same..I wasn't about to rip out the staircase so I did the best I could and it came out beautiful..
413dina yes, my floors are Brazilian Cherry as well. I am not giving up trying to come up with the right blend even though I am holding up the whole building process! Thank you so much for your response, your help is very much appreciated!
When choosing where to put a pair of chairs, consider the focal point of the room. In this space the beautiful mantel is what draws the eye. All of the other furniture in this room, including both pairs of chairs, is positioned in a way to accommodate and accentuate that focal point.
