Becky Harris Hi Ranchito. This was posted from a magazine so I don't really have any way of knowing the answers. However, it looks like it is a drop in and definitely not portable; I cannot tell if it is gas or electric. Without a hood vent, it is probably better to have a downdraft just to keep the kitchen environment better, as far as I know. A quick internet search of "two burner stove top" brings up a TON of products - you can pare it down by adding "gas" or "electric" "drop in" etc. to find something that works for whatever you have going on in your kitchen.
2 burner stove tops are great counter space savers for smaller kitchens.
Any appliance experts there have any advice for ranchito?
ranchito Thank you Becky, we are building a small guest/bunk house and I love your idea of a small sink and the two- burner, I had already purchased a portable one and I am not happy how the surface heats up so I will return it. This would be the ideal! Thank you for the post and the suggestions.
Minimalist kitchens can produce some very fine cuisine. Display the few chosen platters and materials on out-of-the-way open shelving. Hang your pots. Stick your knives to magnetic strips. Use your space wisely.
I am toying with the idea of a green kitchen, and this may just be the shade I'm after. I think it would look great with some of my collectible folk art ceramics.
