Anne DeCocco I really think those bookshelves are good old white. What I always specify is B1 or B2, meaning 1 or 2 drops of black in a white base. Adds a touch of depth to the color. Gloss or high gloss finish. Beautiful. I want those chairs!
I love the lucite combined with French linen seats. 10 out of 10 points for style, 6 out of 10 for function: The table apron/twig detail looks a little low for legs to squeeze under.
If using a Lucite chair feels too cold to you, pair it with a cushion. Matched with this organic table and cozy surroundings, the cushioned chair instantly feels more inviting.
Wood storage and crown molding on either side of Dining room window. Bench seat with storage. Mimic storage on north Dining wall shared with Kitchen (open parts of wall for kitchen counter to be extended as Buffet area and cabinets and shelves above and below.
Lighting, colors, textures and the character the dining table brings; also the fact that I can actually use this photo to create something similar (hopefully as beautiful as this one) in my own home since I didn't know exactly how to create something I loved in that area.
I want them!
