Green Mountain Custom Butcher Block I don't think it's necessarily a trend since we've been building them over a decade but I do think more and more people appreciate the warmth and uniqueness that wood on an island can bring to a kitchen. For many, the island has become the new kitchen table so using wood enhances that feeling.
