I'd never consider an upholstered bed for a 3yo - much less a white one! You're still dealing with bedwetting, vomiting in bed and other such disasters at that age.
Best to get a simple wood bedframe that accommodates a mattress without a box spring - something which can be cleaned up easily when the inevitable happens.
Wait until she's in her teens and is old enough to appreciate such finery for fancy upholstered beds
Rachael Bouchard Haha. I was not at all thinking of getting one in white. Let alone a white rug. If she was 13 - maybe. I was thinking a deep purple frame. We already have carpeting in our house, so no need for a white rug - no matter how comfy it looks.
This is a great shot of the 50's redux. In the simple shape of the curtains (awesome color), the shape and color of the lamps (placed cleanly and symmetrically) all contribute to those retro design elements.

the colors and shapes in the room make it look very sophisticated, girly, glam, and modern at the same time. All the different textures add interest to the space.
