Shawn Lagemann To make a real brick wall is not a DIY project. Brick is heavy and needs structural support; how much depends on the height and width of the wall. Angle iron has to be installed at the bottom, for crush factor, it needs a solid substrate (not sheetrock) and must be supported from below, unless you are slab on grade. If you like the look and the wall you'd like to do is in between 2 walls (no outsie corners) you can "fake" it by using thin brick. Google thin brick to see manufacturers and colors. Hope this helps.
A cozy office/guest room occupies the space at the other end of the loft. The custom sofa converts into a full-sized bed. The light hanging overhead is a vintage extendable Italian lamp from the 1950s, and the chair is a vintage Eames Executive Chair, upholstered in red patent leather.
4. Pinstripes. The London city boys in the financial area love their pinstripe suits. Channel your own pinstripe suit by upholstering a tailored sofa or chairs in a dark pinstripe fabric. Try dark gray with cream pinstripes or add a little color with something in navy and green, like on this sofa. Accent the dark fabric with bold colors in mustard, burnt orange or deep red.
