A little bit of Tuscany - Newport Coast, CA Handpainted travertine tiles, Kitchen Backsplash Our client remodeling their kitchen with new tile backsplash & granite countertops. They wanted something special behind their range top. They asked if travertine tiles could be painted (yes) and if we could create a nice scene of a Tuscany landscape with farm-style buildings & houses. We said yes. These tiles were painted off site in artist's studio. Once dry, numerous durable clear coats were added for protection behind this busy cooktop. The tiles were shipped off to our client who had their tile guy install. Gorgeous!
