If you don't have rambunctious teenagers or little ones zipping around your home, go for something really beautiful and tailored. The upholstered ottoman/coffee table in this room is almost a focal point with its gorgeous striped fabric.
I like the variety of conversation areas in this large great room, especially the multiple couches with coffee tables and flanked by comfy chairs. The white couch against the wall of windows is delightful.
Probably the biggest issue with the house is where will we sit when we watch TV or hang out with friends/family. I tried to move my furnutre around in the living room to mimic this to no avail - but something like this - more broken up with a variety of conversational areas would be neat!
6. Don't Compete with a Great View. When big windows and a great view are the stars of the show, neutrals inside are a good idea. There's no need to compete with a fabulous outdoor space.
