Changing Table? - Love this room! Was there a changing table in the room, and if so, what did it look like/where was it from? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer questions! »
Design By Lisa I like to paint the ceiling in the same color as the trim, in this case that is Sherwin Williams Dover White. I hope that is helpful. Lisa
Design By Lisa I'm afraid that I don't have the manufacturers information on the carpet. I can tell you that it is a Nylon tip shear style carpet. I hope that is helpful. Lisa
Wainscotting - Where did you get the wainscotting?? I am going to be renovating a room for our newborn and want to put in some wainscotting on the walls!! Thank you! »

Where is the side table next to the glider from? - Hi Lisa: Love the nursery! We are modeling our nursery after it. Where did you get the side table next to the glider from? Thank you in advance for your help! »
Lumina Pets Hi jeuko00....good luck with decorating the nursery....If you need any lighting ideas we have a great range of fun animal lamps for kids like the one below at www.luminapets.com
What type of furniture did you use in this room? - I am doing the walls the exact same way and will be purchasing a crib from Restoration Hardware, but it is in a bronze finish as opposed to pewter. The crib is featured in a light colored room on the Restoration site and also uses an antique Creme/White finished furniture. Is that too much white for this room? Can you recommend a finish for the furniture? »
Design By Lisa We used a creme colored dresser in this room and liked the way that it turned out. Because it was a nursery I was comfortable with having both light fiurniture and light wainscotting. It also kept the furniture neutral so that it could be used in either a boy's or a girl's room. I think that a light wood finish would work well also if you wanted to go in that direction. The wood color that Restoration Hardware uses for their pieces would blend well with the other colors in this room.
Wainscotting color - I noticed that it is tagged as Sherwin Williams Dover White but in one of your answers to a question you said the trim is Sherwin Williams creamy. I just wanted to know whether the wainscotting in the picture is Dover White or Creamy and also whether the crown molding is Dover White or Creamy.
Thanks!! »
Design By Lisa Sorry for the confusion. The wainscotting and the other trim in the room is all Sherwin Williams Dover White. I thought that we had used Creamy on this project and gave that answer to some of the earlier questions. They are very close in color, but the Dover White is a little bit lighter than Creamy.
Design By Lisa I wish that I could be more helpful, but my client ordered this chair on her own. I can tell you that the colors in the photo are pretty accurate. The chair fabric is a linen color and the welt (piping) is a light cream color.
Good luck!
Lisa
Design By Lisa We had a contractor do that for us. I think that he used a metal saw , or possibly a pipe cutter. The rods are hollow. I know that Home Depot usually has a metal cutter at their stores that they use to cut down fence rails so they might be able to do that for you also.

I don't know if the page shows up for you this way, but when it says that the photo has tags you can click on that and it will show you information about anything in the photo that has been tagged - it is a great shortcut.
I hope that you get to put this in your new nursery!
Design By Lisa This is something that the client purchased on her own so I'm not sure where it is from, but I agree with the other answer - Etsy isa great resource for items like this. Good Luck!
Not a question but a comment - I am a huge fan of Houzz.com and of Design By Lisa. I just want to say that I really appreciate that you respond to the questions. More times than not questions are left unanswered, and we ("designer hacks" ) are left hanging. Thank you for sharing your expertise, inspirations and ideas. »
Hi Lisa. My friend is looking for nursery ideas and loves this room. Is there anyway to view more pictures o - Hi Lisa. My friend is looking for nursery ideas and loves this room. Is there anyway to view more pictures of the room from other angles? Thank so much!! »
Design By Lisa I have that tagged so if you click on it you can go directly to the artist's site on Etsy, but I will leave it for you here also:http://www.pamelajoycedesigns.etsy.com/.
Hi Lisa, I'd grately appreciate your advice on furniture color! I have painted my baby's nursery to best resemble the one you have pictured here. Because I am not going with the pewter iron crib, I am uncertain of the furniture finish/color I should go with. Do you recommend black, an antique ivory, espresso/dark cherry, or natural color for the crib and dresser? I value your advice and don't want to mess up the color scheme of the bedding, walls and decor with the wrong color furniture! I even bought the curtain fabric:) and my mom-in-law is painting the owl decal, as well as the painting on canvas! Thank you for your Expertise advice! Kasey »
Design By Lisa So glad that you like the nursery. Here are my thoughts: If you don't have the creme colored painted wainscotting like this room has I would go with the antigue ivory finiah on the crib and the dresser. If you do have painted wainscotting I would recommend going with a finish that will stand out against it - the espresson / dark cherry sounds like it might be a softer color than the black so I would think that would be a good choice, but either would work and would probably look close to the pewter finish used in this room. Whichever way you go I would have the dresser and the crib in the same finish.
Good luck - I'm sure that your room will look great!
kaseynicholas Thank you so much! I do have the creme wainscotting so I will go with a darker stained furniture! I was concerned the brown would not compliment the gray tones in the wall color, but I feel better now! Thank you:)
Dear Lisa, you have been so much help for me while decorating my baby boy's nursery! I am trying my best to recreate this beautiful room, however, the crib is out of my price range:-( I would be so grateful if you could atleast recommend another option, or atleast a furniture color that would compliment the rest of the decor in this room! Thank you so much!!! »
Design By Lisa The crib and the bedding are both from Restoration Hardware. the crib is
their Martine crib in Pewter finish (We had the canopy cut down) and the bedding is the Belgian Linen Srtipe in color Shore.
I am designing my nursery according to this photo and was wondering about the white color on the lower half o the walls...do you know what shade of white this is? Thank you! »
Design By Lisa Here is a link to the site. My client found it on etsy:http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade?q=some+things+are+worth+the+wait&view_type=gallery&ship_to=US
Thanks for asking!
Design By Lisa Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - had to do a little research to find out where my client purchased the chair and ottoman. The chair and ottoman are made by Little Castle and the fabric for the draperies is Designers Guild, style: Chalk Farm.
I love this crib, it's beautiful, but it's not practical. Did the parents or designer think about the poor kid's teeth once they are old enough to stand up in the crib. I don't know about everyone else, but my daughter gnawed on her crib rail like a little beaver. We had to use a rubber crib guard. There is no way those crib guards would work on this crib, and I highly doubt Restoration Hardware sells one. »
On the Rocker-GliderAnyone who has ever spent the night rocking a baby to sleep on a comfortable rocker-glider will tell you that they are well worth their exorbitant cost. Our rocker-glider works hard for the entire family, but most of all it supports my back, sitting bones and child on rough, sniffly nights. NURSERY - (In case Aria turns out to be a boy.) Subtle color palette, cute wall design. It's a regular room w/ nothing zany that still manages to be fun without trying so hard. (Pick bedding, then paint!)
