Where are the tv components? We have a fireplace flanked by windows on either side and would love to mount above it but don't know where to put satellite box, etc... »
cecebee You can also saved $1000's by buying two L brackets...mounting them on the wall behind the tv and placing the box on its side on the L brackets! That's what we did! The box is invisible and our guests always asks...where's the box...we show them and they reply...brilliant!! :-)

Allow your favorite wallpaper to inspire your color palette. Look closely at the adjoining room to the right of the photo. You can see the darker color in the wallpaper is the same as the wall color in this living room.
You can also take the attention off your flat panel by placing it on a wall with dark paint or stain. By keeping the tone of the wall in check with that of the TV, it's less obvious.

Here's another example of a well (in)set TV. The wood paneling doesn't hide the fact there's a TV in the wall, but it certainly helps it blend a little more.
Purple drapery carries a dark tone around this ultra-sophisticated living room, and is a beautiful accent against the stone-colored sectional and light gray walls.
