Red Stripe Sofa

The Red Stripe Sofa combines elegance with rusticity. The carefully carved Louis XVI style frame is given a modern twist by combining it with a rustic red stripe printed linen inspired by burlap sacks found in the work-a-day markets of southern France. The best part is that the sofa looks just as handsome from the back as it does from the front. The frame is constructed of reclaimed Elm wood and the fabric is an English Khaki linen.

Linen is made from the fibers of the flax plant, the first vegetable fiber known to man. The production of linen requires few to no pesticide and herbicide use and less water than that used in the growing of cotton. It is also 2 to 3 times as strong as cotton.
