You have a lovely room, but I can see that you are having some difficulties. You have a lot of little "stuff" in this room, and you have a beautiful fireplace, and the tv is taking away some of the wow.
The first thing I'd do would be to rehang the curtains. If you hang the curtains closer to the ceiling and further away from the windows, visually you will move the eye up the wall and make the windows appear larger. Just make sure the curtains are long enough to graze the floor. You have a sofa back that you are walking into as you enter the room, blocking the flow. Move the sofa into an "L" configuration with the other sofa. You may want to think about pulling the other sofa away from the wall and placing a console table behind it, you really won't see the console table but you can place your photos (located on the side table) on it and have an opportunity to add a lamp. Beside the fireplace is a great space to add bookshelves. You can buy them at the big box store and customize them by adding the same crown used in the room on top. The back of the bookcase (behind the shelves) is another place you can add color, by painting it a contrasting color. You can use the shelves for display and storage for your baskets.
The tv, look at the website flatscreenframing.com. They have some great frames that will help the tv blend into the room. There are also some tv mirrors, but since you have a ceiling fan I'd stay away from them. Mirrors are tricky, you have to consider what they reflect. You don't want a picture of a ceiling fan. You said you were replacing the coffee table and maybe others... the room is missing some reflective elements, you may want to choose tables with a combination of metal and glass. Pottery Barn has a table(s) called Tanner cubes that can be clustered together to make a coffee table, they can be moved apart when needed. The two chairs can be placed together along the entry wall with a table and lamp, as a conversation or readin
