pop up downdraft - From your experience, how much room do you need for the blower of the downdraft. I was told you cannot have cabinets if have pop up downdraft but it looks as if you do. Thanks

Thanks for your question! Every downdraft is slightly different. Some can be configured with the blower in a remote location such as the crawl space which gives you more room for storage under the cooktop. A standard downdraft does have the motor under the cooktop. If you have a good contractor to hook up the ductwork, it will help to maximize the space underneath. in this particular kitchen we were able to provide 2 shelves that were about 10" deep, enough to store some extra pots and pans. We wait until the ductwork is installed and custom fit the shelves after installation. Hope that helps, let me know if you need any additional info.
