TCS Designs How in the world would you know? This is my house. I have never heard of you. You certainly have had absolutely nothing to do with it. Furthermore. you have said in the past that you have never done work in Texas. Guess where this property is? The island is a found piece that was put into a container in France, along with an entire container of pieces, that fill my farm house. Babs Watkins, a designer from Houston, helped me put the whole thing together. The house was designed by a man named Don McDonald. These images came from a spread that was done by Veranda, when the project was first completed. Nice try, though...
hazstewart Considering the roof you can see through the windows (outside), it looks as if the plane of the interior ceiling is much lower. This height difference would facilitate insulation, possibly some duct work. Just a possibility of course. Typically in a situation like this the rigid insulation would installed installed above the roof decking.
georgeyoung Sometimes Ballard Catalogue carries reproductions. However, these bull's heads, if authentic, are from French butcheries. I have seen 2 recently in antique shops in Georgetown, D.C. The real ones are very pricey. Wisteria Catalogue is another place you might look for reproductions
Pay attention to architecture. A brick arch, stone wall, wood ceiling and recessed range plus exposed rafters pull together to give this kitchen a European country-house look. Details help too; the bull's head sculpture is from an old French butcher's shop.
