Name: Clean RoomLocation: MinneapolisArchitect Andrea Swan first called this unique project "Refuge," but her client insisted on distilling its name to the most important factor of the space: its cleanliness. "My client was in a dire situation. She was allergic to her own house and had to sleep in her covered porch, which is not a comfortable thing to do in Midwestern winters," says Swan. "So she turned to me for help in creating a room that was clean enough for her to stay in — at least long enough for her to get a good night's sleep."
