Glenna Partridge Garden Design I did a little research....I was really curious as well as to what it was! The plant is Acacia leprosa (Cinnamon Wattle) and it's a tree! I was quite surprised myself. Here's a link to Longwood Gardens where the photo was taken and lots of info on the plant. I hope this helps!
Most greens will mix easily, but you must tread lightly and thoughtfully when mixing greens with competing undertones. In this example, the greens in these hanging baskets are a deep green with a yellow undertone. The wispy green on the walls also has a slight yellow undertone, and both are complemented by tiny yellow flowers and warm sunlight.
So remember, when creating paths that feel nest-like, enclose at least 3 sides, bring the ceiling lower with hanging plants, arches, a sloped roof or tree branches, offer a vista or curve in the path and enjoy your peaceful pathway!More: Magical Garden PathsHow to Create a Nest at HomeCreating Nests in Unexpected PlacesCozy Outdoor Rooms
I find this image is so inspiring. Think of all the barren suburban side yards (like mine for now, sadly) and/or gritty, grimy urban alleys that could benefit from this type of treatment. You could even get a delivery truck down this alley if you had to. Yet it still feels so open and inviting that you could add a few cafe tables & chairs and it becomes a destination and not just a pass-through.
