This is my favorite house in Atlanta. Once divided into a boardinghouse, an owner a few years ago restored the home to its original splendor.

This is my Atlanta dream house. It's about two miles from my new house. The dream would have to come complete with someone to clean it for me though, and a bunch of kids to fill it up.

This classic Queen Anne has a tower, projecting gable roof and front porch. From its Palladian window in the gable to its Hindustani inspired tower roof, this Queen Anne typifies the eclecticism of its day.

This large Victorian is even more commanding in dark salmon than it would be in a more subdued color. Victorian homes also have a long and illustrious tradition of wacky color.

Inman Park NeighborhoodLocation: A mile from downtown, this neighborhood borders the funky Little Five Points area — great for shopping for vintage threads and live music — plus Cabbagetown and the Historic Old Fourth Ward.Noteworthy: Inman Park was Atlanta's first streetcar suburb.The neighborhood mixes Victorian, Italianate and Arts and Craft architecture, large and small, as well as warehouses and other industrial structures. A recent development in the former Mead paper plant has completely transformed the energy of the neighborhood with apartments, townhouses, single-family homes, shops, salons and great restaurants, and is a great example of well-designed urban infill. One of the first completed phases of the BeltLine and another large park cross right through the middle of the neighborhood. It also has its own MARTA stop.

Love this bright, coral-y color, but I would have trouble gardening with it. I like my plants to coordinate with the house, and a lot of pink/red blooms wouldn't look great. But maybe as a smaller accent?
