Artisan Kitchens LLC The island is made of solid maple and the client used a stain that he created himself by mixing MinWax colors http://www.minwax.com/wood-products/stains-color-guide/ until he got the look he wanted. The floor is the old original fir that was pulled up during the renovation, saved and relaid.
