How di I apply ceramic tiles to slanted ceiling? - I have a shower just like this one and water are constantly hitting the ceiling. I was reluctant to use tiles on the ceiling because I imagined they will not hold on. Is there a certain technique to apply them safely? »
exceldiyer To get water on the celing you could have low ceilings or many shower heads? Using a good thinset and trowel on the ceiling and backbutter the tile will give you better adhesion. Larger tiles or natural stone can be a bigger challenge, but go slow. Depending on how much water your ceiling gets splashed, you may need to water proof or use cement backerboard as most ceilings only you can get away with drywall excluding steam showers.
The herringbone terra cotta floor tile makes me think of places we've been.

Even a more warm and rustic setting can benefit from a herringbone pattern. This room sets itself apart by setting a tumbled stone tile in a herringbone pattern with a larger grout line, giving it a paved look.
Keep everything light and bright. In what I imagine is a converted attic space, most likely without windows, an abundance of light materials keeps this traditional bathroom bright. From the herringbone stone floor to the white ceramic shower tile, this bathroom feels lighter than air.
