Scott Neste | Minor Details Interior Design Thanks for your inquiry! The steps are oak, the newel and balusters are all walnut. The stain colors were completely custom. We tinted them by hand to produce the final colors as we needed enough of the amber tones to bleed through so that multiple woods used in the project would work nicely together. I rarely if ever use stain out of a can. There's more to it than that. Thanks!!
