kevmauilyn Will you please tell me the dimensions of this room and approx cost to do the curtains? We are building a home and want to make the basement our entertainment area...thought we could separate the media room from other areas but have the option to open the room up with a sliding wall...the curtains just gave us another option
Sterling Custom Homes When we plan for a media room with a projector, we include a media closet in the floorplan where you can keep your DVD and Blu-ray players, amplifiers, and gaming consoles. The electronic equipment in the media closet and the projector are connected with HDMI cables that are wired behind the walls and ceiling, eliminating as much visible wiring as possible.
Sterling Custom Homes Hi Laura,
This wood flooring is 3/4" x 5" RL Character Grade Hickory/Pecan. We hope this helps. Let us know if you have anymore questions!
Do you have a view of the media/pool table for 9009 Camelback from the Media room looking out to the pool table? Curious to see what walls look like in that area. »
Sterling Custom Homes I'm sorry, Lisa. I just went back through our photos and we don't have a picture from the opposite angle. However, below is a URL to the floor plan on our website. Between the picture and the floor plan you can get an idea of what the walls in this space would look like. The wall to the right of the pool table is shared with a bedroom and closet. If you have any other question please let me know.
How are the privacy curtains hanging? Are they a special fabric, this could be a great solution for a problem I have with an upstairs family room open to the downstairs. »
Sterling Custom Homes The curtains are hanging from a curtain rod that is bent to match the curve of the arch and the curtain is made of heavy duty fabric.
4. Behind the scenes. Add texture and style to your media room by hanging curtains to act as a divider between the game room and movie room. Just draw them shut when either side needs privacy.
Invest in an entertainment-friendly layout. Entertaining many guests in a lower-level game room can be tricky with one television and limited seating. You may want another television above the bar or near the game tables, so everyone has a good view.

Seen this a few times where media room is separated with curtains instead of walls. Colette needs to look at this. It may be a way to cut some space and have 1 big tv area.
Like the tv's above the bar area for game area!
