azuri_bleu Well I'm real late to this thread but I have some just like this from Staples. They are Martha Stewarts and cost about 11.99 each or you can wait for their coupons and get them for $5. They have the nameplates on them already.
What would you do to "hide" electrical wires from second/third shelves? - My place is very small; so this is a great idea. I have to use a very small table for my desktop, and will create a second (and maybe third) shelve for the lamp/printer. but how to plug the wires without seem them along the wall to reach the bottom outlet? »
Here is my own modest work space, converted from the hallway bags-and-shoes-and-whatnot closet just off of my bedroom. This conversion moved me from the large dining room table, and designates visually for my kids that I'm working. From taking the door off to sitting down with a cup of tea took under an hour.
2. Get the hook-up. Figure out what you need to plug in and have an electrician come over to provide the proper plugs for lighting and electronic equipment.
