Can you please break down the stairs for me? We are building and I love everything about this. It's the perfect complement to what my husband and I are leaning toward. Thanks! »
The doors of the home open to an opulent staircase and foyer. Becca fell in love with a photo of a staircase in a magazine, and turned to the team at Design Stair to re-create the wrought-iron spindles she loved so much. To the left of the stairs is Ian’s home office and to the right is a gallery leading to the kitchen and family room.On top of the grand staircase is a landing with two French doors that open to a small balcony. Natural light fills the foyer and accentuates the wide plank hand-scraped walnut floors. Double chandeliers: Currey & Co.
This example shows a simple repetitive baluster with unique detail where the base extends down over the stair tread. This is a nice way to add some unique detail to the curved stair but still conveys a simple elegant feeling overall. This has French Country roots as well.
