Vacuuming is an essential part of carpet maintenance, and we recommend that you thoroughly vacuum your carpet at least once a week. We do not recommend the use of vacuums with beater bars, as they can raise the nap on some hand-tufted carpets and distress the yarns. Should you choose to use a beater bar function, however, we recommend the gentlest setting possible. New hand-tufted carpets may have excess fuzz accumulate on the surface. This fuzzing is perfectly normal and the result of the tufting and shearing processes. For this reason, vacuum your new carpet more often.
