schnook I have made one of these vertical succulent "pictures" too and have seen them rooted in about 6 weeks (I live in southern CA), starting the project in October and noticing by December I could place the frame vertically. I kept it flat for the first 2 months.

Do you have any tips on getting Sedum planted between the wire mesh spaces? I cannot see if your frame has the hexagonal/octagonal or the square shape spaces on the frame, but I have a frame with wide enough spaces that getting an Echevaria or Sempervivum single root in is not a problem; however, the more delicate and friable Sedum (with multiple tangled roots often) seems impossible. I love the look of beds of Sedum in the frames but haven't been successful in transplanting them. The Sedum itself seems to be too "floppy" in comparison to other succulents, and Sedum for me gets drooped over and wilted as I try to plant it. Thank you for all your help!
