Mark Rostad, Bear Creek Special Projects The garage door is aluminum, painted black, with custom diffused laminated glass inserts. The glass gives privacy to the interior of the garage, yet lets daylight filter into the space. At night, I installed down lighting 8" from the door to wash the glass with a soft light, so at night the door glows white.

I do not know what the fire rating would be for this door because we have added custom glass to it, so I would check with your local garage door supplier to see what they can make available to you.
