Painting Cabinets - I see that the cabinets are Manchester Tan. Mine are the oak wood tone that came with the house, but I would consider painting them after seeing these. Nice! Anyone? »
Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. Hi Chris. You can paint your oak cabinets. I suggest you hire the best painter you can find because there is a lot of prep work and sanding involved. Many people would consider this a DIY job, but I do not. I'm not that brave. :)
Here is an ideabook that will help you understand the steps involved.
Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. Hi there. These countertops are Costa Esmeralda. The slab will naturally range from a blue/green to a light blue/green. Let me know if you need further information. Charmean Neithart

charlottegirl I've seen really similar ones at Lantern & Scroll, out of Charlotte NC. Might be a better idea to buy USA made. I went with a similar light for my kitchen. www.lanternandscroll.com
Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. OK, got it. I think that would soften it. Manchester will give the feel of a bright and light filled kitchen, but will be more cohesive with creams and tans. Thanks for visiting my website. Let me now if you need further guidance with your kitchen, I'm happy to help.

tr8acee The kitchen looks amazing. I am going with an off white/cream cabinets and was thinking of caesarstone in pebble for the counters.I love the blue/ grey backsplash, do you think that would be too much grey? What would you suggest for a backsplash color? The counter designer suggested I paint the walls grey too but I don't want my kitchen to be so sterile looking. I can't seem to decide what to paint the walls, grey, blue, beige? For the floors I went with the porcelain wood tiles in natural. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
susrieger Hi Charmean, everything you've done is gorgeous! I am having the worst time finding a backsplash tile for my costa esmeralda countertops...really, i'm afraid to trust my own opinion! I'm having a hard time finding the tile you used in Traditional in San Marino. Any other suggestions? Were there other backsplash contenders?! I've attached a shot (oh so sad and dark!) of my current kitchen - shaker cabinets in BM Linen White, low ceilings in our Cape. Any suggestions are much appreciated. My husband is tiring of my indecision...all the best ;) New stainless steel appliances will follow, too!

There are some additional step when painting a stain grade cabinet. Hope that helps and good luck with your project. Charmean Neithart
