pergola - Can you please tell me what kind of wood the pergola is built of. And could you please give me the name and number for the contractor who built it . We are building a new home and I would LOVE to replicate this pergola for our new home here in Ohio.
Thank You! »
AMS Landscape Design Studios, Inc. The wood beams and rafters for this patio cover is Douglas Fir #1. It has a distressed finish and the end corbels match the residence roof eave corbels. Yes there are small recessed L.C.D. can lights in the rafters. Note: see attached photo for reference (different project however)
The Landscape Contractor that installed the project (question by kathyhess) is: Urban Landscape and Design. Contact: Ryan Suarez: 949. 981-2002 They do fantastic work and I can highly recommend him.
Outdoor task lighting is crucial if you're looking to do more than just sit on your porch or patio. Pin lights like these are perfect for reading outside on a warm summer's night.
3. Landscape LightingNot just for the backyard, low-voltage landscape lighting can ramp up the ambience of your patio.Good to know: Generally not enough to light up an outdoor room on its own, landscape lighting can work well in conjunction with sconces or string lights. Try a few low lights in bushes surrounding the patio or illuminating a pathway.Because landscape lighting is low voltage, this is a relatively easy and safe DIY project, should you choose to give it a whirl.
