What is the dimensions of this outdoor room? - This is the most beautiful outdoor living area I have seen. We are trying to finalize some plans, and I am wondering about the dimensions and celling height used in this room. Also are there more pictures that can show how the living space is connected to the house? What material are the white columns made of? I would appreciate any info you can give. Outstanding job!!!!!! »
Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. Hi there. This space is 30'x18' with a 9' ceiling. The columns are constructed from pre-fab travertine by a company called Materials Marketing. They have locations in Orange County, CA and Texas. The structure is not attached to the house at all. It sits in the middle of the yard with the house in front of it. I have attached some additional pictures. Thank you for your interest.

Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. Got it. The key here is to get a chair that is the correct scale. The 40x40 chair is a pretty good size, so there are comfortable sitting options for watching TV. The sofa or the 40" sq. chair will most likely be the best options for watching TV or lounging in that room. Try going for a much smaller size chair for the placement to the right of the TV, like 26"x26". Also, benches are good options for seating because they allow for flow into the next room, in your case the DR. Benches don't "block" the flow into the next room, but still provide a place to sit. Their low profile allow an open view to the next space. This will not be where you sit to watch TV, but if you are trying to have more seats for guests etc., a bench will work. Here is a link to the size chair you might consider...http://www.arteriorshome.com/templates/product.aspx?ProductGuid=2998&GroupGuid=25. I hope this was helpful. Please contact us if you need further ideas. I'd be happy to lay this all out for you on a floorplan that I can email to you. Thanks again for your inquiry.
