Richard Bubnowski Design LLC The exhaust hood is also by Wolf. The cabinetry as well as the kitchen island are manufactured by CWP, Custom Wood Products out of Virginia Beach, but they will deliver anywhere in the country. The wall and base cabs were stock sizes made of solid cherry, however the island was a completely custom piece designed by us. Therefore even though CWP manufactured the piece for us, we retain the copyright, so they cannot reissue that piece without our permission.
We can however design a custom kitchen island specifically for you or we can arrange to have that exact one made for you as well.

Richard Bubnowski Design LLC Cheryl and Mike, Brazilian Cherry is the species of wood, it can be purchased anywhere. We used a clear polyurethane finish. If you are located anywhere near Point Pleasant, NJ I can recommend the installer, otherwise you can get it anywhere at all. As far as wood flooring in the kitchen, that's not a problem. The wood flooring is normally sealed which will protect it against water droplets, sloppy dogs, and wet feet from the outdoors. You certainly don't want excessive water to lay on the floor for long periods of time, but that would be the case with any flooring material.

Richard Bubnowski Design LLC The island is 3'-7" from the range and 3'-2" clear on each end from the refrigerator and sink.
The island is a modern interpretation of the Arts and Crafts style. It was designed for a house that we did the architecture for as well. If you contact my office we would be happy to help you with your project as well.
