Richard Bubnowski Design LLC We've only used metal roofs over smaller areas such as entrances, porches, dormers, and other specialty areas. We have not used one over an entire house yet. There may be some very minor additional noise during a major down pour, but if they are insulated properly and you use a heavy gauge of metal, preferably copper, you shouldn't have any problem.
I'm a HUGE sucker for an outdoor shower, and this small patio creates the perfect connection between the house and the shower. One could even warm up a bit by the fire on the way back into the house after rinsing off.
this is bigger than the space we have, but what I like is the space to hide/house the boogie boards so we don't have to have them in the garage. also, that the other two kids have a place to sit while the third is in the shower
idea for shed at end of pergola-covered space (north of Tom's study)
like the roof lines (same pitch as house?), columns, white trim, partially open roof, raised porch
