What type of paint to use on fireplace bricks? - I have ironically painted my walls a similar green color, the mantle i painted a very pale orange and I want to paint the bricks white. Can you tell me what type of paint to use for the bricks and what color/brand you used. Thanks. »
Do white fireplaces get soot covered? - After painting a fireplace white do they covered in soot from having fires? My husband likes to have fires at least once a week in the colder months.
Our fireplace was painted a weird color and the only way I can think of fixing it is to paint it white - but I'm scared of the soot ??? »
Joanne Jakab Interior Design Great fresh design take which is on trend - yet feels timeless. Mix of woods, styles and finishes keep this room inviting.

This color is part of the Classic Color Collection,
though we may have customized it a little after sampling.
In this space, the cool-green wall color, natural flooring and wood-beam ceiling create an interesting juxtaposition.

Brick fireplaces are common in older homes. If brick isn't your style, simply paint it. This painted white brick lightens a space already saturated with color and gives your eyes a rest. Simple accessories provide height without making the mantel too busy.
