Adding a small pantry and microwave peninsula increased storage space and contributed additional counter space at the same time. The subway tile backsplash was designed in proportion with the kitchen, and adds interest to the under counter areas. Details such as a simple cove crown, double paneled wall cabinets, and exposed hinges add an understated sophistication to the room.
