Grizzly Iron, Inc Yes, all residential stairs would require a handrail. This stair looks like it would need a railing as well to prevent someone from falling off. The IBC and ICC codes state what is required but your local jurisdiction may have more specific codes.

Pool/Billiard Area Stairs with fireplace and hearth integration. This may not be a fireplace now, but it could at least be an electric if not gas. This is really cool integrated design of stairs, chimney, wall, hearth, and fireplace.
