We love your library cabinets, please let us know about the cabinets. Thank you! - What type of wood? Color? Stain? How can we do something like this in our home library? Is the wood mahoghany? Birdseye maple with a dark stain? How can we achieve this look? »
mousemaker i'm sorry to hear it's exotic wood from a country that has been ravaged for centuries. one person commented that there are too many books. i find that incomprehensible. how can you have too many books? (that would be too with two "o's")
rbcola With the creative genius of Benvenuti and Stein.....I'll bet you can find a wood that fits your budget and your earthly ethics. There are many beautiful woods grown in NAmerica and elsewhere that are specifically for cutting/building. PLUS.....there is so much being done with bamboo.....maybe not as unique as this W. African hardwood.....but I'm betting Messrs. Benvenuti and Stein....can come up with appropriate suggestions. Believe! Believe!
I liked the modern, yet traditional feel of this room. the blue on the walls, the grey furniture with the wood all works well together (not sure I really like the furniture, just the color).
