Barbara Brandau Hi Rick, one last question I hope. Would you please be able to tell me the length and width measurements of the kitchen and the island? I am making something much smaller but i am afraid that if I get it wrong, I might create an elevator shaft appearance. If I can downsize from what you did, I might be able to make it work. I don't know enough about this process to know if I am asking for "architect secrets" or not. If I am please forgive me and know I understand. You have already been more than helpful and I so appreciate it.
Thanks, barb
dkassekert This is excellent Michelle! Thank you! One final question; the finish in the photo appears with a lighter finish. Is that option available as well?
Group 3 We filled cracks in floor before and it generally doesn't last. It will last a while if you keep your house at a constant level of humidity and the floor doesn't move, but in the end, you'll have to remove/replace it. Heart pine is very soft and dogs will scratch it. I wouldn't trade my scratches, they're like wrinkles- a tale of a life lived.
May I please use this photo in a blog post? - I'd give you photo credit and include a link back to this page (or any other page you'd prefer I link to instead) »
Group 3 We designed the island and a local cabinet maker built it. Electrical wires are in one turned leg and gas piping to supply the cooktop are in another.
mvierlinghall Did anyone ever find out exactly where the lighting came from? I contacted Eloise Pickard and she was going to check to see if they were hers, but I have not heard back. Any one??
Thanks, barb
