Love the home colors! - Was wondering if you could share any other photos of this home. Building a new home using similar colors and am leaning towards selecting the timber bark for the siding color also.
Thanks, Lisa »
Jim Kuiken Design Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the inquiry. The color is Timber Bark and is the James Hardie siding product. You may be able to see more photo's of this home at www.jimkuiken.com Thanks for your inquiry.
Jim Kuiken Design I so apologize for such a late repsonse to your email request. I ususally respond immediately to a comment or question. This is a custom designed door which I created for this particular home owner. Thanks for the inquiry and again, my apologies for not responding efficiently!
Stone Installation - How did you install the river rock into the stoop? We're considering doing this effect, except with concrete instead of tile, on our new home. We're thinking we'd pour the outsides first, let cure, then pour the middle and add the rock.
Thanks! »
The stone is a manufactured product by Boulder Creek Stone and is a 50-50 blend of Laner and Newbury stone in the Prairie Bluff Pattern. It's one of the most realistic manufactured products I have been able to find. The small boulders along the sidewalk are natural limestone and the pebbles on the front stoop are stones from the Lake Superior/Duluth area. The tile on the front stoop is a porcelain product. Thank you for the inquiry!
Jim Kuiken Design The concrete stoop is covered with a porcelain 12" x 24" tile and actual stones collected from the Duluth/Lake Superior area. Thanks for the inquiry

Is this an option and a good idea - Brick footing under hardi-plank on back patio..the photo shows stonework, but I am thinking of brick, to match our original house.
