looks to be 8-9 inches- but i would take the height of you wall and devide it by a few different numbers to get it even and put tape on the wall to see how it will look once you do it- have fun :-)
look on the internet for tips on "not to have" the paint bleed through the tape so you get a perfect look the first time

Look at Ben Moore's Golden Groves/313. It's a mustardy color (is that a word?). Really goes well with the white stripe. Can't tell if the white stripe is truly a white or a hint of cream. Both would work!
