I am a huge fan of this design that only covers the top quarter or so of a kitchen window. Kitchens don't typically need the privacy of full curtains and they do need all of the natural sunlight that you can possibly let in.

Really love this kitchen. It's warm and inviting and I like the valance by the kitchen window.

Can you find the microwave? By thinking in advance, very early in the design process, one can plan to almost truly hide a black microwave within a black cabinet in an interesting way.
