roaminron I inherited a very nice sofa which has been in the family for over a hundred years. It is covered in a fabric that is very close to the Sherwin Williams paint color "Baguette - SW6123". We are in the process giving our home a facelift and intend on placing the sofa in the family room. I have been researching without much success for nearly a month looking for a color to paint the walls. In the past I have always stayed neautral to be on the safe side, however, I think I am now ready for some COLOR. This room is very special to me, therfore, I would deeply appreciate any recommendations for a paint color or colors, keeping the sofa in mind, that would really make this an outstanding rooim. Although my budget is limited, I do have allowance for the paint, a new area rug, recovering the dining room chair cushions and accessories and maybe a couple of prints. The family room is a large traditional room with lots of natural sunlight and has Old Chicago brick flooring. It is rectangular and has a fairly large offset kitchen with center island. It serves as a dining room as well as living area. This is the first time I have ever posted anything on the internet, however, since becoming the house husband recently I am in need of advice from all of you talented good people out there.
