Basement stairway

This is what my basement stairs look like today. There are 16 stairs, 3' across, 9" deep, and 6" high. They were made out of ripped down 2x10. I hope to sheetrock the rest of the stairway, have a solar tube installed over it (it is really dark), and finish the stairs somehow? Don't know if I can just paint, or need to have noses on the steps, etc?????
