Giulietti Schouten Architects If you are planning on remodeling the kitchen and keeping the soffits, I'd suggest that you consult w/ a local architect or interior designer to discuss options. There could be a number of solutions. For example - if the soffits occur where there are upper cabinets, the new upper cabinets could be designed in such a way that there is a panel matching the door styles that covers the soffit to conceal the soffits and blend them into the new cabinets.

Giulietti Schouten Architects These were fabricated by one of our local metal fabricators. If you show the photo to your contractor or metal fabricator they could match the design. The face mount rather than the top deck mount help in minimizing any potential water intrusion probelms

Giulietti Schouten Architects The trim around the windows is wood as are the windows themselves. The horizontal banding between the siding materials is also wood.

Giulietti Schouten Architects We used a Taylor Metal Products roofing. I don't have the specs avaialble anymore but my recolection was that it was Zinc Grey.
