Designer Tracy Murdock truly had a vision with her home; building upon the Asian elements found throughout the home, she completely gutted the upstairs two bedrooms and created a Japanese style master suite with a private balcony. In the master bedroom, the bed which sits on tatami mats was built high upon a mahogany platform to capture the Pacific views and the sound of the waves washing upon the shore.

hello, i want to know where you purchase these 2 japanese wall frame. thx a lot. »
This room is all decked out in Japanese style but really you need to only add a bed like this to your bedroom to get the feeling that is evoked here. A high-rising platform bed with tatami mats underneath the mattress is comfortable and stylish.
The master bedroom is on the second floor, where one enjoys some of the best views. The bed sits on tatami mats was built high upon a mahogany platform to capture the Pacific views and the sound of the waves washing upon the shore. Note the shoji screen on the right side of this image.

The tatami flooring and shoji screens create a lovely sense of contrast with the tatami under the mattress and the platform ensemble for the bed. the skirting and other wooden additions create a lovely Japanese feel.
