irwincf We are remodeling our kitchen and was told to stain the cabinets darker since we will have natural wood floors. I didn't think I would like it, but after seeing this picture I see how wrong I was. I have also decided to go with light counters below the cabinetry and a white island with a dark counter. The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn This was a builder home and we were only responsible for the cabinetry. The countertops were selected by the owner. I do know the island is Antique Brown.

The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn These chairs were provided by the owner, sorry I do not have details. This is a 36" countertop height so the chairs should be about 24"

The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn The files for this project are in our archives but my best guess is this island is about 42x84. The overhang on the long side is 1 1/2" and the overhang on the short sides is about 12". The overhang for the seats looks to be about 18" or so. These are about the dimensions you would need to make this look work.

The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn Sorry, can't remember exactly what color was chosen, but it is a medium oak stain, chosen to work with the countertops (or vice versa). Good luck!
