Richard Bubnowski Design LLC Yes, this house survived. No damage at all. The house is about 1 block from the ocean, but the grade around the house is at elev. 23.5' so it's pretty high above sea level.
Richard Bubnowski Design LLC The metal roof in this house is actually raw copper. If you are looking for a shade of red your best bet would be one of the prefinished metal roofs. I would look into Englert or Atas.
Did you use natural stone - Hi Richard,
I work for Instone and we have supplied natural stone to a few homes in Spring Lake earlier this year - curious to know if this was one of them, looks very familiar.

Richard Bubnowski Design LLC Thank you for your interest in our recent Spring Lake project, but we generally don't give out the plans of our work. However if you have specific questions about the layout we'd be happy to answer them. Feel free to contact my office later in the week after the hurricane passes by. Also, if you go to our company website there is a floor plan on there that you can refer to. www.richardbubnowskidesign.com
Richard Bubnowski Design LLC Off hand I don't recall exactly which color it was, but I do know that it is now discontinued.
They make so many varieties of gray that are pretty similar though.
Any chance you know what color Certainteed siding that is? Is it their pre-finished Pewter, or was it a custom color? I have been trying to get a view of the Certainteed Pewter on an actual home (rather than just the swatch). The house is beautiful!
Thank you for your time! »
Richard Bubnowski Design LLC I actually just found out the color was "driftwood". The problem is that the color chosen was in the "naturals" category and Certainteed has discontinued the series due to lack of sales. Thank you for the compliment, I'm glad you like the house. Feel free to call my office if you have any questions.
ccwatters I know all about "color changing many times". We have tried so many colors to find the perfect neutral gray (not too blue, not too brown, and definitely not too purple!). Besides how stunning this house is on its own, the color looked perfect and I thought it may be the Pewter they carry now. Oh well, back to painting poster-boards and driving my builder crazy. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!
Richard Bubnowski Design LLC We originally wanted to use James Hardie Artisan Lap siding, but could not accommodate the curve. The house actually has a 1" layer of rigid insulation on the exterior face of the sheathing in addition to 5 1/2" of solid spray foam insulation. So therefore we used Certainteed's Cedar Impression siding.
